Dia de Reyes at Disneyland

We stopped by Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Frontierland this morning and enjoyed beautiful displays, food and activities during Disneyland's celebration of Three Kings day. I am thrilled Disney has decided to continue with this celebration again in 2013.

Growing up in a Puerto Rican home, our family celebrated Dia de Reyes every January. For many latinos and Christians January 6 (Epiphany) is the 12th day of Christmas. Traditionally this is the day in which we commemorate the three Wise Men visiting the baby Jesus and presenting him with gifts.

Disneyland does a great job of focusing on the culture, rather than religion, by offering crafts (guests can make their own paper crowns), treats (Kings' bread) and music (Grammy winners Mariachi Divas) during this weekend long celebration. Definitely be sure to drop in!

Feliz Dia de Los Reyes from Starlight and I!
