Saturday Short: Tomorrowland official Japanese Trailer Explains Everything

The official Japanese trailer for Disney's Tomorrowland gives all of us Disneyland fans what we were hoping for: a glimpse into the Tomorrowland the movie/Tomorrowland the land/Disneyland Park connection.

Watch and LOVE. (SPOILER ALERT: do not watch or read any further if you don't want to know the movie - park plot connection.)

Young Frank Walter, who grows up to be George Clooney, takes a ride on it's a small world and ends up going down a massive rabbit hole. He is transported to a magical world that is "a secret place where nothing is impossible."

In this trailer it is revealed that the original Disneyland was "just a cover for the real thing" - a real futuristic world created by geniuses like Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison and...wait for it...Walt Disney! Young Frank was the Chosen One who was supposed to save both worlds, but I presume somehow stopped believing and/or perhaps didn't quite succeed. The new Chosen One, Britt Robertson’s character Casey Newton, must now take over where the jaded Frank left off. Together they embark on a mission to save - and change - the world.

The screenplay, written by "Lost" writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, is based on the original story "Tomorrowland", written by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen. I image the story contains enough loopholes for a few sequels, and despite the notion that this film is too commercial, I think it is going to be visually gorgeous and am thrilled it will be released in IMAX. This one is on my must watch list.
