DisneyBounding at DisneySMMC: What I wore to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration

As I counted down the days until the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, I stressed about what to pack. Knowing that there would be several events, indoors and outdoors, but not knowing when or where those would take place was hard for me. Humidity is my Kryptonite and I needed to be sure that I wore/packed as little clothing as possible while still remaining professional and showing my #DisneySide.

When the agenda was released I breathed a sigh of relief and put my DisneyBound outfits together. My day-to-day style is vintage with a modern twist and I wanted my Disney themed outfits to stay true who I am - without looking like costumes. (Epic costumes are for Halloween.) The key is to start with an idea, a color palette and accessories. Then I work around those based on pieces I already have or inexpensive pieces I can pick-up at places like Target, TJ Maxx or Forever 21. The result is subtle, professional, still within my realm of vintage style and - most importantly - something I actually want to wear anytime.

My only problem? I don't ask people to take pictures of me. So, after going through all the trouble of putting together the outfits, there are no actual photos of me fully displaying all the pieces. I'm too shy to ask...it feels very vain. So if my daughter doesn't take the picture - it didn't happen.

Below are the photos of my outfits and poor, unplanned photos of me in them.

I'm not sure how I ended up wearing a cardigan, but it happened.

Maria Bailey also wore an Ariel inspired outfit that morning. I was so thrilled to see her! She's a strong woman and an incredible leader - but she also has a great sense of style.

My park clothes were much easer to pack and had been sitting on the guest bed for weeks:

  • R2-D2 dress for our Star Wars Dine-In Galactic breakfast at Sci-Fi- Dine-In Theater Restaurant
  • Fun Adventureland themed romper for a day at Animal Kingdom or hiking through Adventureland (I actually never wore this though. I wore my Enchated 10K shirt and shorts instead because every teenager in Orlando was wearing that romper.)
  • Pretty stained-glass style Beauty and the Beast themed dress for Mother's Day & dinner at Le Cellier in EPCOT
L to R: R2D2 Dress (Star Wars), print romper (Adventureland), Beauty & The Beast stained glass dress (Fantasyland)
