We Can Drink Real Milk Again Thanks to a2 Milk®

We Can Drink Real Milk Again Thanks to a2 Milk®

This post was sponsored by a2 Milk® as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

Confession: my favorite post-run lunch time treat is a giant bowl of raisin bran. Due to my sensitive stomach issues, I had to give up my favorite snack about a year ago. In fact, we haven’t had milk in the house since my daughter went off to college in September because my better half and I just can’t drink it without discomfort. I am happy to report that all of this changed when I recently became an a2 Milk® Ambassador and added milk back into our lives.

Statistically speaking, a study shows that 1 in 4 Americans experience stomach troubles after drinking milk. In our house, 2 out of 3 of us have that problem. My daughter can drink any kind of milk she wants but the man and I, while not lactose intolerant, definitely do suffer from “Post-Dairy Digestive Discomfort” which is caused by the A1 protein contained in all conventional & organic milks sold in stores. The a2 Milk Company™ has solved that problem by providing the only milk naturally free from the A1 beta-casein protein with milk that comes from heirloom a2 cows - ‘the way mother nature intended’.

What does this mean? It’s pretty simple actually. What this means is, since I’ve brought a2 Milk® home I’ve been able to enjoy milk and cereal, while the man of the house has gone back to enjoying his favorite midnight snack - chocolate milk. That’s because a2 Milk® is pure farm fresh milk from heirloom a2 cows and family owned dairy farms. Rather than buying processed milk alternatives or sugary high-calorie nut milks, we are actually enjoying real milk again.

I was a little worried when he first prepared his chocolate milk. His stomach is way more sensitive than mine and when he drinks conventional milk it's a bad a scene. But he enjoyed his glass of milk, went to bed and that was it. No problems whatsoever! No bloating, no gas, no discomfort or stomach cramps were experienced by either of us. That is a major win and a real game changer for both of us.

How is this possible? Because the a2 Milk Company™’ cows naturally produce milk free from the A1 protein. In the past ALL cows’ milk contained only the A2 protein, but due to migration and environmental changes, the A1 protein (which digests much differently) began to appear causing milk drinkers to experience Post-Dairy Digestive Discomfort. By partnering with farmers in New York and the Midwest, the a2 Milk Company™ has expanded the heirloom a2 herd and is able to provide us with milk that is easily digestible.

Here are some facts:

  • a2 Milk® is less likely to cause gastro problems
  • a2 Milk® is all natural - not engineered. It is simply and naturally produced by cows that only produce the easily digestible a2 protein.
  • a2 Milk® has 6 times the calcium of soy milk and approx. 8 times more protein than almond milk
  • a2 Milk Company™ provides the only pure and certified a2 Milk® in the USA
  • All cows are treated humanely and are not treated with growth hormones or rBST and the milk is antibiotic free

I encourage you to visit a2 Milk® on the web to learn more and to find a retailer near you. If you have not actually been diagnosed as lactose intolerant, you might be able to enjoy milk again thanks to a2 Milk®!
