As you gathered from My Running Story (please read to better understand how my running journey began) runDisney inspired me to change my life by infecting me with the running bug. Kind of a big deal. I went from being a person who could not and did not want to run, to a marathon runner. In fact, I ran my first marathon the day after I ran a half marathon (at Walt Disney World, of course). True story. (Although not a pretty one.)
My very first runDisney race was the Inaugural 2012 Never Land 5K, which I ran just before my first half marathon: Princess Half. Although I have gone on to run so many other incredible races, there is a special kind of nostalgic magic I associate with runDisney. I never feel too old, too silly, too out of shape or too slow. In fact quite the opposite is true. It's during a runDisney race that I feel completely comfortable running in costume, smiling and being just a little ridiculous. So many of the people I have met via these races have become my very best friends. That's why I runDisney.
I invite you to read all my runDisney race recaps. Enjoy!
