Prince Concert Recap

I love Prince. I have loved him since since I was 4 years old. Fact: my first 45 was Prince's "I Wanna be Your Lover". I am forever grateful to my mother for sharing her love of good music with me.

Seeing Prince in Reno las month was an experience I will never forget. He was well worth the 3:00AM drive through the snow.

I was there. My mom was there. My friend Steve was there. 50% of the Bay Area was there. Paul McCartney was there. I was in the same building as a Beatle - watching the same show. It doesn't get any better. Until Prince takes the stage, that is.

I danced, I laughed, I danced some more, and I almost caught his sweaty red towel. Almost.

There are no words to describe the electric 2 1/2 hour musical orgasm that is a Prince performance. I can only say that I was heartbroken when it ended, and will try to catch as many of his shows as I can this summer. If you love music, real music performed by real musicians, get thee to a Prince show. Immediately.

Warning: you will be feeling very "romantic" afterwards. Take a date. Those pants are tight, and that's OK.
